This is a painting of the small garden of “Giardino Pubblici Piazza Bernardino Campello” in Spoleto, Italy.
It was painted in 2005. Today the wooden fencing on the left-hand side under the trees, has been replaced by metal, but it is still recognisable.

When holidaying in Gran Canaria, Spain, I was amazed by the beautiful bougainvillea tumbling over the arches across the streets where we walked. It was in a picturesque fishing village called Puerto de Mogan.

In 2005, I visited a dear friend in Monterey who took me to Carmel Mission. This was painted in her honour. She has since passed away. I marvelled at the Mission, it’s beautiful architecture and the devotion in its construction.
